FAQ

Why try Nose Work?

Whether you are interested in competition or looking for a boredom-buster for your dog, nose work provides many benefits. It can increase your dog’s focus, provide a safe and exciting activity for your dog where they use both physical and mental energy, help you to become a keen observer of canine body language and behavior, and allow you to just have fun with your dog!

Can my dog do this?

Every dog already knows how to use their nose. We help turn that instinctive skill into a fun, rewarding game they play with you! Dogs of all ages, breeds, shapes and sizes can participate. Even dogs with limited mobility, loss of vision or hearing, and senior dogs can enjoy nose work.

What prior training do I need?

You don’t need any prior knowledge or training experience. However, your dog should already be comfortable on a leash, and able to be crated, or in your car during class.

What equipment do I need?

To start, you will need lots of your dog’s favorite treats or toy, a flat collar or back-clip harness, and a leash. You will also benefit from having a treat bag.

No prong, choke chains or e-collars are allowed during lessons.
